Hiya, I’m Amanda—a holistic stylist specializing in curly care, customized color palettes, clean beauty, and hair health revitalization. Born in NYC, raised in northern NJ, and having come of age in Connecticut, I’ve got roots all over the tri-state area. My love for appearance enhancement began at just 3 years old, and by 13, I knew cosmetology was my calling.

I graduated from Paul Mitchell The School of North Haven in 2009 and have spent the better part of the past two decades building a foundation in the Northeast, where I’ve made a name for myself throughout the region as [@TheCurlorista].

I’ve always seen hairstyling as a healing art—a practice of self-expression and alchemy.

Alongside continuing education in the cosmetic field, I’ve studied energy work modalities such as 13th Octave La Ho Chi and the Embeautyment Practitioner Method, deepening my connection to the revolutionary potential of personal care. This passion led me to create The Chrysalis in 2016, which has since evolved into Temple Soulon, a private salon space devoted to holistic beauty, wellness and spiritual transformation.

Surviving a near-death experience to start 2020 deepened my perspective and infused my work with even greater intention and care. It reminded me of the power of presence, connection, and the sacredness of the rituals we share.

My style—described by clients as “sophisticated” and “soulful”—is shaped by my love of art, ongoing education, and vibrant experiences from traveling the music festival circuit. My signature crafted color, coils, and coifs have adorned the crowns of artists and executives alike—from Maine to Colorado and as far as Costa Rica.

In addition to hairstyling, I also work as an image consultant specializing in wardrobing, scene styling, branding, event curation, and interior design—helping clients cultivate cohesive, authentic expressions of themselves across all facets of life.

After years of working in other salons and freelancing abroad, I’ve created the ideal atmosphere for my unique guests to bloom in their every endeavor of personal evolution!
